ActiClean Etox effectively removes endotoxin
from biological media including water, buffers, tissue culture, and
purified proteins. Affinity of the immobilized ligand for proteins
is very low delivering a mass yield of proteins that typically exceeds
95%. The endotoxin binding ligand is nontoxic, nonmutagenic and biodegradable.
ActiClean’s biggest advantage is that it binds more endotoxin
than other solid phase media without binding more of your purified
protein. The agarose support is hydrophilic, reducing the non-specific
binding that normally occurs with more hydrophilic supports, such
as methacrylate or acrylamide supports. So not only do you get more
binding capacity, you keep more of your protein. With a robust, proprietary
chemistry, ActiClean Etox can be cleaned with strong 1M NaOH, an industry
standard for breaking down endotoxin. In fact, ActiClean can withstand
over 100 regenerations before you lose significant capacity, making
ActiClean one of the most cost-effective strategies for removing endotoxin
on the market today.
